How to upgrade LG G6 VS988 With LGUP

  1. Download LG USB Drivers
  2. Download LGUP Tool
  3. Download LGUP DLL for LG G6 VS988
  4. Download LG G6 VS988 Stock firmware

PLEASE remove all previously installed LGUP software & LG UP DLL

Download LGUP Patched here. Install the LGUP 1.14 and then move all files in patch folder into C:\Program Files (x86)\LG Electronics\LGUP and overwrite all existing folder and files.

Step 1, Reboot your Computer and reboot your cell phone.

Step 2, Now connect your Phone to PC Via USB Cable and Run the LG UP Software

Wait until LG UP detect your Phone. If LG UP screen shows up, Go Step 3.

If LG UP can’t find your device, you need to put your phone into download mode manually by

Turn off your phone, press and hold “Volume Up” button and plug in the USB cable from your computer to the phone.

Now Run the LG UP, waiting for LG UP install necessary USB drivers for your Phone.

When LG UP screen shows up. Go Step 3

Step 3, From LG UP Screen, click on the Upgrade process option

Click Bin File and Select the LG V988  VS98820g_01_0125_ARB00.kdz firmware that you have downloaded

Now simply click on the Start button to begin the flashing process. Wait for few minutes until the installing process completes.
