  1. , so I actually figured it out my resolution and DIDP I changed so once I fix that everything came in order everything is working just fine now

  2. Android switched from “Dalvik” to “ART” Runtimes. They’re not really compatible with each other. It’s very similar to the mess with Windows XP and Windows Vista/7. The hardware isn’t designed to work with the new runtimes. The only way I’ve found to fix it is to root the phone and downgrade it yourself. There’s a few 5.0 (Lollipop) custom ROMS that work, but are buggy. I’d just go back to KitKat (Version 4). Check out CyanogenMod on Google for instructions on how to do it. If you’re not comfortable with it, then have somebody else do it. You WILL need a PC to downgrade from Lollipop.

  3. Can I please get some help I just got the LG l33l I rooted. And my contacts and phone won’t inistalize I’ve cleared all cach and data factory reset both In settings and hard reset a couple times I can’t even use any other app I’ve never flashed before I just and I’m frustrated plz tell me what apps I need so I don’t brick my phone I have no computer but I do have my other lg.

  4. I have the LgVS98512B version and it only shows me the same software version I already have, why doesnt it show me the latest firmware version? It is a white LG G3.

  5. I loved my phone until this update. Now the battery life is awful, the phone response is ridiculously slow, the time zone is randomly like 7 hours ahead sometimes, etc. There needs to be a fix fast because I’ve only had this phone about 6 months and was perfect until this update. I’ve always hated Apple but if Android can put out a phone-debilitating update like this and not have any fixes available yet (it’s been over a month), then I feel a switch may be inevitable.

  6. Yeah I did actually, just find someone with an active Verizon sim card, pop it into your phone and try updating. It might take you multiple tries so if an update fails, retry it. If that doesn’t work put your sim back in, go about your day normally and then try swapping it out and updating again after a few hours. Good luck!

  7. Build – LRX21Y

    Software v. – VS98523C

Unable to use bluetooth handless ear piece with the phone in my pocket as before the update. The screen cannot be covered or it disconnects/goes to sleep when activating it via bluetooth. In a state with hand-free cellphone use laws this is a critical issue.

  8. There is a new rooting method that works on all variants of the LG G3. I did it to mine after the update. It is a little more work but it works quite nicely!

  9. Because of the new material design that is now on the phone it does not show the other updates you had on the phone.

  10. I installed the update with no bad side effects. Battery life had improved a little and it seems to run a little faster now. Check your settings to make sure you have auto sync enabled. I will also add that I am running the LG G3 with Verizon. . I have noticed that because this update is so large, and is now based on material design, that a lot of my settings had to be turned back to the way I wanted them to be.

  11. I’ve been having a lot of issues since the update! My messages no longer preview on the notification bar. I had trouble getting the notification light to blink for messages, my data is not working at all and the button to turn it on/off in the settings is gone, the playstore and gmail won’t load at all…the list is endless! Very frustrating.

  12. Updated it yesterday and it doesn’t show my notifications when I receive something from Instagram and no email notifications too. I have to forcefully check it myself all the time after the update. It even doesn’t update apps automatically anymore. Anyone having this issue? Plus, Instagram is slow as hell now since the update.

  13. I have an unlocked Verizon LG G3 but I am using it on At&it’s network. When I try the OTA update it says there is none available. When I try the software upgrade assistant method, my phone is detected but isn’t displayed by the program. Please help..

  14. why when I click on status updates does it say last system update: no updates applied? Yet the software info it shows the android 5.0.1 and software version VS98523C and everything in the device is now running as it should on lollipop.

  15. I just upgraded my rooted G3.

Unfortunately, it “un-roots” the phone when you install it.

Now I have to find a method to root it again with the new OS on it.
