LG’s official Korean website today announced that the LG V30 will get the Android Pie Update in July.
The Android Pie Update for the LG V30 in South Korea – which was expected to be released in Q2 – will be released in July 2019.
Here’s the announcement says(translated from Korean):
※ V30 ThinQ Pie OS update distribution schedule adjustment
We have tried to provide the V30 ThinQ Pie OS software in the second quarter we mentioned through the bulletin, but we will adjust the distribution schedule to July to compensate for the essential improvements found during the quality stabilization process.
I’m sorry to have to adjust the schedule in order to provide better software quality because it was an unavoidable thing to add new UX UX 8.0 to show better function to our customers.
We are actively stabilizing the quality through the request from internal/external agencies. We will do our best to distribute it within July, which is the adjusted schedule through active support of SW Upgrade Center.
That means LG V30 owners in other countries will have to wait for another month to get the Android 9.0 Pie Update.
According to our sources, LG is still testing the beta firmware for the LG V30 (Model: LGH930) smartphone. The latest beta Pie firmware for the European LG V30 IS V29h – LGH930-V29h-EUR-XX-JUN-14-2019+0.

Sadly, We did not know when LG will release Pie Update for the LG V30 in the U.S..
