LG K40 LMX420QM6 Spectrum Mobile Android Pie Update now available

About two months ago, LG tested the Android 9.0 Pie beta V18a for LG K40 Spectrum, and now the LG K40 Spectrum Mobile Android Pie Update is available.

LG rolls out the Android 9 Pie Update for the LG K40 LMX420QM on Spectrum Mobile today.

Good news for Spectrum Mobile LG K40 (Model: LMX420QM6) users, LG will release the Android 9.0 Update for your device soon.

LG official is testing the Android Pie Beta firmware Build V18a for the LG K40 from Spectrum Mobile, which comes with the model number LMX420QM6 or LM-X420QM6






The Android 9.0 Pie beta firmware build v18a was tested on September 11. and the file size of the beta firmware is about 1133.98MB.

As per our tipster, The beta firmware – LMX420QM6-V10a-to-V18a.up – is an OTA Update file which can be installed via LGUP’s FOTA Update option.

It is an Update from V10a to V18a, But we do not suggest you install this.

There are still some issues and bugs with the firmware, Said our tipster. So we will not share the OTA Update file here.

According to the LG USA official website, the LM-X420QM6 is the model number of Spectrum Mobile branded LG K40 2019.

Announced in February 2019, The LG K40 LMX420QM6 was released in July 2019 with Android Oreo out of the BOX.

The LG K40 sports a 5.7-inch display with 720 x 1440 pixels and a (now pretty standard) 18:9 aspect ratio. The handset is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor.
