A new LG handset running on Android 5.1 build LMY29F has emerged on the html5test website with model number LG-H818 attached to it, which has been already rumored to be a variant of the upcoming LG G4.
The model number has been already spotted in a User Agent Profile that shows QHD screen with 1440×2560 pixel screen resolution. According to Our Source, this is a variant of the LG G4 for the Asian market.
If the data on html5test site is correct, the upcoming LG G4 will come with Android 5.1 out of the Box. The Android 5.1 is a much-anticipated update to Android 5.0 Lollipop, The Update is expected to fix some of Lollipop’s biggest problems, including bugs related to settings and UI, plus general performance improvements.
For your information, Google’s Android One phone runs on Android build LMY29F too.
As of today, the latest Build number for Android 5.1 is LMY47E. The Nexus 5 running Android 5.1 Build LMY47E has been spotted on Chromium issue tracker.
Latest report suggest that the LG G4 release date will be mid-April.
