AT&T LG V40 ThinQ software update rolling out with March security patch

AT&T LG V40 ThinQ LM-V405UA Firmware Update

AT&T is now pushing an update to its LG V40 ThinQ V405UA (LM-V405UA) to version V405UA21a.

The update weighs in at 170MB and includes the March 1, 2020 Android security patches.

According to AT&T, The Update builds V405UA21a is just a security patch update which brings the latest security patch.

The update is now going out over the air! If you have not got the OTA update notification, you can manually check for the update by going into Settings > General tab > Update center > System update > Check for update.

Just like many other LG devices from AT&T, The AT&T branded LG V40 ThinQ V405UA does not support software update through LG Bridge.

There is no way to download the stock kdz or tot firmware for AT&T LG V40 ThinQ LM-V405UA smartphone.


AT&T LG V40 ThinQ Android 10 OS Update

The AT&T LG V40 ThinQ was launched in 2018 with Android Oreo 8.1 out of the BOX.  In May 2019, LG released the Android 9.0 Pie Update for the device.

According to LG official, The European Version LG V40 ThinQ will get the Android 10 Update in Q3 2020. Maybe the AT&T LG V40 ThinQ Android 10 Update will be released at the same time.
