LG to launch LG AKA smart phone in Taiwan, Turkey and other markets

LG launched its “LG AKA” smart phone in South Korea in 2014. The LG AKA comes with four unique cases that transform it into different characters: Eggy (yellow case), Wookie (white case), Soul (blue case) and YoYo (pink case).


Now It seems that LG will bring the AKA to Taiwan, Turkey and other markets. The Taiwan Version LG AKA smart phone (LG-H788) has just passed the Taiwan NCC certification yesterday.


According to our tipster, LG will also launch the LG AKA (LG -788TR) in Turkey in Q2 2015. The LG AKA model variants including the LG-H778 and LG-H779 are expected to be available in China and other Asian market. So far, we have not heard any LG AKA variants for Europe and North American market.

The LG AKA 2015 should come with latest Android 5.0 L OS. The LG AKA features 5-inch 720p IPS display combined with a quad-core 1.2GHz processor, 1.5GB of RAM, and 16GB of expandable storage. Including an 8-megapixel rear camera with laser auto focus and a front-facing 2-megapixel camera, the AKA offers LTE, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, and Wi-Fi connectivity, and uses a 2,610mAh battery.

A recent report from sogi.com.tw suggests that the LG AKA will be available in Taiwan in March 2015.
